Once again, I almost didn't manage to get to this tree for its monthly photo in June. The first four photos were all taken on 19th of the month, but in May and June I was very late and almost gave up on this tree project! It's looking very different to the previous photo, on 27th May. You can see all six photos of this tree via the tag on the right 'roachling19th'.

I think I agree! I'm doing this for two trees to make a collage for each at the end of the year and see the trees as they change through the seasons, but I haven't liked the more recent pictures of them, I think they've look nice in winter!
I think this tree merges into its surround more than your other tree and that's why the winter shots are nicer. It stands out more. It's still a beautiful tree, have you thought of a closer shot of it, would that work? Just a thought.
Don't give up! It makes for a fascinating series and works well because all the shots are taken from the same spot with the same composition. It's inevitable that some will be more effective than others but don't let that put you off.

Thanks. I don't intend to give up, I just almost ran out of time in May and June to take the photo so have almost accidentally failed twice. I aim to take it closer to the 19th in July! I much prefer my other monthly tree (23rd) but I've started this one so I'll finish it!
