I have no idea how to do HDR (I don't do any kind of editing or post processing as I don't have the software, know how or inclination) but I've only ever seen on HDR image I liked, I'm not a big fan of it but out of curiosity would this tree look particularly good in HDR and is morning a better time light wise?!
such a great choice of subject to revisit every month -- all the shots are so different with light and season. Now the greenery seems to be eating up the water.
@roachling Morning or evening light is always nice. Usually right at sunup or an hour or so before sundown. If you have LR, you could probably fake the HDR look by adding tonal adjustments to the grass and sky. :)
@roachling However, don't think for a second that this shot needs improvement. You rocked it and it looks amazing. I just did a "storybook princess" shoot where I saturated and used HDR alot so my eye may be skewed in that direction...
