Ramshaw Tree in May

My monthly tree photo. I'm sticking to the same date and roughly the same time of day each month (so far so good anyway!)

You can see this same tree in previous 2014 monthly tree photos via this tag

Cool tree and setting - great shot. Have you thought about coming here in the wee morning and doing an HDR shot? That might be a fun project...

@thomastoth
Thanks. I have no idea how to do HDR (I don't do any kind of editing or post processing as I don't have the software, know how or inclination) but I've only ever seen on HDR image I liked, I'm not a big fan of it but out of curiosity would this tree look particularly good in HDR and is morning a better time light wise?!

Nice tree shot. Lovely scenery behind too.

such a great choice of subject to revisit every month -- all the shots are so different with light and season. Now the greenery seems to be eating up the water.

@roachling Morning or evening light is always nice. Usually right at sunup or an hour or so before sundown. If you have LR, you could probably fake the HDR look by adding tonal adjustments to the grass and sky. :)

@roachling However, don't think for a second that this shot needs improvement. You rocked it and it looks amazing. I just did a "storybook princess" shoot where I saturated and used HDR alot so my eye may be skewed in that direction...

Beautiful capture. This one is so full of green compared to previous. The fields and house sloping away make a lovely backdrop to the tree.

Lovely gentle shot. The glimpse of water by the tree gives life to the whole scene.

Is so lovely to see the fields and hulls becoming so green. Lovely shot Louise.
