Barad-dûr

We went to the Opera House (again! - 4th time so far this year http://365project.org/roachling/365/2014-03-08) this evening to see 'Broken' which was amazing - I can highly recommend seeing this if it's on near you - watch a trailer of it on the event page - http://buxtonoperahouse.org.uk/broken

It was a very showery day with lots of mist and low cloud on the moors. I took this shot on the way home because I liked the cloud and the sky. Dave titled it for me as, with the tower in the distance and the orange sky, it reminded him of Morgoth's Fortress from Lord of the Rings, lit from behind by the fires of Mordor. This means nothing to me as I've never read it and I haven't seen the films.
Great layers of colours and contrast and yes definitely A Lord of the rings feel.
