wood mouse

we tagged along on a small mammal survey this morning. This is Dave holding a wood mouse, just before releasing it. It's a shame I didn't get the focus right, but I had to be quick! Lots of wood mice were found in the traps, which was a bit disappointing for me - we have wood mice in the garden at home, I was hoping for more shrews and voles today!
