Brimstone Butterfly by roachling

Brimstone Butterfly

I travelled a bit further east this morning to visit Snipe Dales - a Wildlife Trust nature reserve - before heading home. This was another great place, I really enjoyed my walk here and I've never heard so many green woodpeckers in one place before! I didn't take very many photos today and it's a shame this one isn't that sharp (I took much better Brimstone shots yesterday!) but it's about the best photo I have for today.

Lincoln was ok but I'm very glad to be home and so happy to be back in my own bed tonight!
Beautiful - well spotted. I don't think I've ever seen these out and about. Must check if we have them

@sheilaw I don't think they are seen in Scotland but I may be wrong. I've just spent a few days in Lincolnshire and seen loads of these! Never seen so many at home, further west!

Love the colour and detail of both the dandelion and the butterfly.
