365 Days Wild - Day 58

Another full day of Wildplay work today. Parachute games, storm kettle brews, den building, tree climbing, pond dipping...

This boy was very happy just wandering around with a stick all morning collecting slugs! He had 20 when I took this photo, but he kept collecting all day and eventually had to transfer them to a container!

(They were all unharmed and safely released at the end of the day)

That is too funny. Hard to remember being fascinated by the gooey things, but I vaguely remember being fascinated.

Only a boy would collect slugs on a stick. No doubt he'll remember this day always!

@flowerfairyann I'm sure he will. A girl joined in too actually, and had her own snail stick but it didn't occupy her for as long.

Wonderful and unusual capture. I saw a bunch of slugs recently in Edwards Gardens, and was surprised by how pretty they were, a sort of amber colour. I guess there must be different kinds of slugs.
