Nature's party popper!

Ok not really, it doesn't actually pop, but witch hazel does look little party popper-ish!

Spent new year's eve visiting family, an overnight stay in Lancashire and this was taken when we went out for an afternoon wander.

Mum and Dad had one of these in their garden - it always fascinated me and had such a lovely scent. You're right, it does look like a party popper. Great focus.
