This week, I'm doing a lot of final sessions in the schools I've been delivering Forest School at, as we're nearing the end of term now (and the end of the Forest School project *sob* ).
With my group of five year olds at today's after school club, we made our own 'forest school medals' out of tree slices to celebrate our Forest School learning!
@kjarn Thanks, but I can't take credit for the idea - this is something we do quite often at both Derbyshire and Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts at our family events, going by various names - medals, woodallions, badges... ideally, the children have to saw and drill their own 'tree cookie' as well as decorate it, but that depends on time and tools being available! More often we just provide pre-cut and drilled cookies, as I did here.
