I've had a tea advent calendar from Birdhouse Tea for the last couple of years, which I've really enjoyed. There are always some teas in there that really don't appeal to me (namely fruit teas involving peach or pineapple - it actually took me to October this year to finish last year's advent calendar, and by finish, I mean taste the last couple of peachy teas before pouring them down the drain in disgust!).
This year, instead of preparing and sending out advent calendars, Birdhouse invited people to attend a tea advent workshop, where we could smell and taste various teas and construct our own calendars. It was really good and means I have a calendar made up of a mix of favourite Birdhouse teas and ones I want to try.
The photo was taken whilst I waited for the event to begin. We were in the room through the arch way, all the loose leaf teas laid out on a table out of shot and the candlelit table is where we sat.
