Getting ready to sleep the last night in Arizona I heard a sweet call in the oak tree over the tent. Took some searching with my headlamp but I eventually found the little guy calling out. A Whiskered Screech Owl, he certainly wasn't screeching and with some effort I managed to get a few good shots focusing by headlamp and shooting with the on camera flash.
