multicoloured orchid. by robz

multicoloured orchid.

This was made from four images of the same flower spike. The photos were taken indoors under overhead lighting. The white balance settings on my camera were used. The small flower at the top was taken with the tungsten setting. The group of flowers on the left were taken with the cloudy setting. The central flowers on the right were taken with the daylight flourescent setting. The flower at the bottom on the right was taken with the white flourescent setting. All of the photos were taken with a -1 exposure bias to produce the black backgrond.
Well one Rob, you are really stretching yourself

@sarahlth Thanks Sarah - this was good to find out what the white balance does. The white petal at the bottom is the actual seen colour of the orchid. BTW - loving all your pencil shots.

@annied @farmreporter Thanks Annie and Wendy. It was good to check out the white balance settings - I had only been using auto for everything. Playing with the collage was a dementia staving off activity... they reckon if you don't have a challenge!... Thank you both for your encouragement. Cheers Rob Z
