pardalotes - looking for suitable real estate.

These little guys are not too fussy about neighbours. They were looking for a suitable tunnel between the logs in the wood heap right outside our bedroom door. So far nothing has satisfied them. They are so cute and so tiny.
What a beautiful plumage (as Monty Python would say) - I have never heard of these birds, they are just exquisite. Love the one peeking round at you too. Fabulous trio.

@casablanca @photobird Thank you both for commenting. These birds are just gorgeous but not often seen in suburban areas. They need long tunnels eg in amongst the timber or drilled into a mud wall etc to nest. Pretty restrictive for them. We are so lucky to have some here. Cheers

@dkbarnett Hi Delwyn - they are just beautiful - only 8cm long from beak to tail!! We will be thrilled if they nest in our wood heap:) P.S. must admit - I only caught them one at a time but they did look cute together...
