These fungi are incredibly structured and fascinating to look at. Unfortunately I've always found them very difficult to photograph well. So I was really pleased with this SOOC (not even a crop!! LOL ) image which caught them with water droplets on their spore capsules.
@fbailey Thanks FB - we get a lot of fogs in the mornings at this time of year - hence the little droplets. I think the fungi were looking their bext because of the moisture. :)
@casablanca I think you got it spot on Casablanca - tiny Triffids!! They are little fungi which grow on lots of our old fence posts! They really liked the damp conditions from the fogs.
@ulla Hi Ulrika - I hadn't seen them either - before we came up here. They must like the colder climate and all the fog in winter. Thanks for having a look.
