This was the view, very early in the morning with no other people around, from the top of CastleHead at Keswick. WE didn't have time to do the Catbells Walk but this small walk and its view was very impressive. Apparently this string of lakes was formed by glacial action scouring away steep walls and leaving behind deep valleys -which filled with water. This is also for the 52 week challenge - "figure to ground"
@fbailey Thanks FB - I'm trialling all of the settings on my camera and trying to do as little editing as possible. We simply move along too quickly so there is no time to play with the photos. For that reason I let my free trial on Elements lapse - I was taking too long to learn how to use it properly and I had found that the inbuilt editing program on Windows 10 was pretty good for basics. It's been good so far - it makes me more careful before I click the shutter!! When we get home I'll probably have another go at Elements. Thanks for having a look - we're having a great time! Cheers Rob
Ah, my beloved Keswick! Sorry you didn't have time for Catbells. I can see it there in the background, it's a great climb. Next time, eh? Big smiles at the shot.
