What an experience. We had no real idea of what to expect - but did think there would be lots of bagpipes involved. It was so much more - all very professionally organized and choreographed and lit. The castle was the centrepiece - it was illuminated with different scenarios to introduce each new segment. This was part of the opening scene.
I had no idea that it was a sound and light experience or that it was so BIG!

Great shot of the event. I've never been to a Tattoo, but I have watched them on the TV. Must be such a brilliant atmosphere, so pleased you got to go.
I've watched the tattoo on TV and walked into the arena when it was deserted but I never imagined it looking so amazing, especially with the castle lit up so beautifully.
