At the fish market

Bergen has a long history as a fishing village with active fish markets. It was incredible to see the variety of seafood for sale- from the incredibly ugly monk fish to whale meat to scallops and assorted shell fish to these giant king crabs. They were 110Euros/kg!! We had two legs for lunch, freshly cooked and broken up for easy eating - wonderful to eat - but cost 55Euros!
Wow, they must have been big legs! She is brave holding that crab.

Blimey Teddy, that's one heck of a big crab!! But 110 euros/Kg???? Crikey. Worse than crayfish here, and that's hellishly exxy.

They call it King Crab for a good reason! We love watching the show "Deadliest Catch" which follows several crab fishermen on the Bering Sea. Good shot!
