Casablanca (@casablanca) was kind enough to tell us that we had fluked the Open Weekend for many of the amazing heritage buildings in London. So, after an interesting visit to Portobello Road, she and I called in to visit The Royal Albert Hall. What an experience! We saw the Queen's sitting room and her private seating area in the Hall , the fabulous upper galleries, the "mushroom' shaped ceiling structures for acoustics and even a wonderful pianist practising on the main stage. It was a sight to remember. Many thanks to a lovely lady for a great day out!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie - Casablanca mentioned it to us - apparently there was a huge number of historic buildings which were open. This was fabulous - it would be worth-while finding out how often it happens. Cheers :)
@golftragic Hi Marnie - it was wonderful to meet Casablanca - and we had such fun together - it was so nice of her to bother coming into town to meet up.
