Why I love living in Stanthorpe..

My-get pushed partner Lynda challenged me to try "selective focusing' - it involves "shooting through distractions". I was in town and saw a ladder nicely propped up in front of the P.O. tower. It had some legs on it too - good distractions!! I focused on the clock and was about to click when a voice said - "Hey - are you shooting up his pants?" Thank goodness it was followed by a huge laugh! And a head popped down from the legs up above - the two of them had an extended hilarious conversation at my expense before the chap on the ladder said "let's do it properly then!" and posed as seen. His name was Fabion and he wanted recognition for his photo when it went online!! Country living at it's best. :)
This is so clever and so well spotted to get this unique shot !

Fantastic! Could be a scene out of Mary Poppins! Someone lighting the gas lights.

@lynbonn Lynda - this one was such a funny situation that I went home and told Errol all about it! And I really liked Fabion's posed shot! :)

What a fun capture and story!! So do you know Sally A who posted on here for many years and comes from Stanthorpe?

Haha, didn't you go all red in the face? You had quite a nerve to take this - well done for that. Superb shot, though.

ha! this is awesome!

we're paired up again for get pushed - i hope you don't mind...

for your challenge, i was wondering how you'd feel about doing a people-less selfie using at least 20, and preferably more, items... i had this challenge back in 2013 and was reminded of it when i did flashback Friday... my 2013 shot is here to give you an idea of what it might look like: https://365project.org/northy/just-because/2013-11-24

if that doesn't work for you let me know and i will come up with an alternative...

@northy I had a look at your 2013 shot and I think I'm Ok to give this a go! Cheers Rob

@gilbertwood Hi Denise. It did take a while for me to realize that Sally lived in Stanthorpe. We have met for a coffee and a chat and I always liked her images of our region. Unfortunately I haven't seen any of her photos recently so I'm not sure if she is still in this area. Cheers Rob
