This is in response to Northy's challenge to produce a selfie which reveals something about yourself - but without you appearing in the image. The image had to contain at least 20 items. So....
Family first (as always) -
*the pipe and pocket knives were my Dad's, the little china lady was my Mum's
*the baby pusher was my sons's (he's 34 now!)
*the little puffin keychain was given to me by my older daughter when we failed to see any real ones in Scandinavia
*the display box was bought for my by my younger daughter when she saw it at a car boot sale
* the whole collection is an image from my life with my Errol - we have had huge amounts of fun collecting assorted things for the last 40years.
Second - our life together:
*as teachers we loved anything scientific - lots of those little items are truly marvellous devices!
*as teachers we have had lots of time to travel - there is a bakelite ashtray in the shape of Australia in there - we have been lucky enough to go around our wonderful country 3 times - and are aiming for a fourth.
* the little bird caller is there as a symbol of our Land for Wildlife connection over the last 40 years.
This was an interesting challenge which actually makes you focus on your life and appreciate what you have. Thanks for this Northy!
This is delightful! A really fab collection of things! I really like the consistent colour tones in this... it holds the image together so nicely... but I have to ask.. what’s a “baby pusher”?
Hi, we're Get Pushed partners for this upcoming week. For your challenge, pick a photo that you have fav'ed recently and take a photo that would look good hanging beside it on a wall. Don't forget to include a link to the fav'ed photo. Have fun! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Lovely collection! Loved to see your son’s pusher, I had one myself when I was little and before I could eat with a knife, my little fork and spoon I still have but the pusher is gone........pity
@northy Lol - is that not a term used in other countries - or just a really old fashioned word for something never used any more? Or, more likely, just what I call it!! It's the little silver piece of bent cutlery at the front of the box - used by babies to practice feeding themselves. :)
@rosie00 Thanks Lesley - my camera seems to just twist and turn to funny angles to let everything fit in - one reason I actually like using it. Cheers Rob
@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline - thanks for your kind comments. It's funny that the pushers aren't used any more - they were such a good implement for the little ones. It would be interesting to see what Vinny did with it! Cheers Rob
@farmreporter Thanks so much Wendy - it was indeed a walk down memory lane! Thanks also for the follow - I'll follow you in return - with great interest! Cheers Rob
Well done!!
