After the fire #1 by robz

After the fire #1

Last month Girraween N.P. was ravaged by fire. Thousands of acres of bushland and its native inhabitants were destroyed. The local rural fire fighters were hampered by a lack of water as many of the creeks and waterholes have dried up. This is one of the few waterholes still with water - it looks quite eerie with its slowly regenerating backdrop of native bush - and there is no birdlife to bring the scene to life with their calls and songs.
These fires are devastating. The image does have a peaceful look, hope it doesn't take long for the wildlife to return.

This location is beautiful. Such a shame to hear about the fires and all of the wildlife.

it's too eerie when there are no bird calls as they are such an important indicator of bush health
