Giraween reflection #4

This was my favourite from this series. I liked the natural curves and textures of the framing rocks and the positioning, colour and clarity of the reflected forest. N.B. my little camera did itself proud - I was as pleased as punch with these shots. These are all sooc.
Wow, for all the same things you liked.

@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline - thanks for your comment. I thought I'd just explain that I didn't have to flip any of these - this is how they came out. It must be something to do with the angle of the POV? Cheers Rob

This is really excellent and exactly what the technique challenge is supposed to look like. Well done!

Wow!!!

@jacqbb Hi again Jacqueline - I am so stupid!! I just realized why I didn't have to flip the images after I took them off the camera. It was a really low POV and I found it much easier to bend over and turn my camera upside down to look at the screen!!! I realized this morning when I automatically did the same thing for another photo.... :)

I can see why this is your favorite. Mine too. Wonderful colors, tones, composition

@robz Hi Rob, Thanks for explaining. Cool, an in camera flip!

Wonderful work! I love it.

@gilbertwood Hi Denise - like you we were quite amazed at the amount of water in this area. It is in a bit of a dip between granite domes so maybe it's mostly from condensation - we've had lots of frosts and fogs...just no rain!. :)

Hi everyone - I thought I better explain my stupidness - after labelling these as SOOC I later realized that they would all appear to have been flipped to become upright. I knew I hadn't done that but didn't realize until I went to take another reflection shot much later that I bend way over to get the low POV and my camera ends up being upside-down! So they are all flipped - but in camera - pretty cool actually! Anyway, you have all been so kind with your comments and appreciation of this series that I did want to thank you as well as explain. So, thanks to you all - you are wonderful! Cheers Rob

This is fantastic. And I loved reading how you were able to flip these in camera -- what a great result!

@taffy Thanks so much Taffy - Mona was kind enough to put up some hints on the challenge she is hosting -"technique95-reflection" Her simple suggestions made such a difference to the outcomes for these shots.- including the accidental flips! What a great hobby and what a great community with so many people happy to share their skills. :) Cheers Rob
