This is an image of a most excellent painting on display at Pikes Winery in Clare South Australia. It was exhibited at the winery as a part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival 2019
Unfortunately I have lost the name of the artist - but her works were wonderful.
What an original picture. It is intriguing because it gave me the feeling that with a little additional attention I would be able to guess what is the reality that inspired the painting, but actually the painting is abstract enough so that I was not able to guess what it is.
@etienne I think you might be at a disadvantage Etienne as the subject is a plant native to the very centre of Australia. It is called Sturt's Desert Pea ( as Marnie has mentioned) and has very characteristic features - fabulous to see flowering in the desert! :)
Thanks everybody for your comments on this - the artist (I did some googling and found her name!) was Jen McDonald and hers works showing rather iconic Australian images was outstanding - and slightly abstract. This was a painting of Sturt's Desert Pea flowers - amazing splashes of colour in the desert. :) @pusspup@sugarmuser@tinley23@onewing@caterina@kgolab@shutterbug49
