Outer and inner caps of the buds of an Eucalypt tree.The outer cap is tough and thick, the inner cap is thin and partly transparent.

I never saw this before, very interesting (we don't have Eucalypt trees here). Reminds me of the upper part of acorns somehow. But i guess these caps are smaller, aren't they? Fav

@lastrami_ Hi Lastrami - you are right - these little caps were smaller than 1 cm across and the inner ones were quite fragile. Often they have a nice Eucalyptus smell when you walk on them- although these ones didn't seem to. Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob
