@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks so much Jackie - it's lovely of you to ask. I'm fine - just snowed under trying to get a small disgusting rental house back into a condition that is fit for human habitation. New kitchen, new bathroom, new paint, new carpet, new tiles, new blinds, new fence and we're nearly finished. That plus the whole Corona virus/ stock market/ superannuation situation has made for some very difficult days.
Anyway - trying to stay positive and looking forward to our new addition in 4 weeks time - it's a boy!.
I hope all of your family is keeping well in all of this madness and that your community hasn't been too affected. It is a worry when you have very old and very young ones in your family. Hopefully it won't last too long.
Thanks again for your kind thoughts - I really appreciate them. :)
Oh Rob, life is crazy for you, eh? Hope you get the place sorted speedily. Markets crashing is not helping us either and the Coronavirus is proving quite scary.
Looking forward to hearing about the new grandson when he comes! Sending you lots of love
@ludwigsdiana Thanks for your kind thoughts Diana, and I do hope that your part of the world is still safe from the virus. We've got lots of restrictions in place over here so hopefully that will slow everything down enough to allow the health system to cope. Doesn't it all make a normal, boring life sound good! LOL Thanks again for your thoughts. Cheers Rob
@koalagardens Thanks Katrina - it's times like this that it's good to live in a bit of bush! It was wonderful to read that Jordan has shown some improvement - I do keep thinking of him. Cheers Rob
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - Thanks for your lovely wishes - I know there must be lots of people having a hard time at the moment - one way or another. The virus is our biggest worry as all 3 of our kids work in the health system in either ICU or ED. Luckily the pharmacist doesn't have to get too close to the patient so we've got our fingers crossed. Maybe Brexit will actually help the UK control its spread a little, apparently being able to slow down the spread is vital to allow the health system to cope. And over here we lived through the biggest one day change ever in the Aust Stock exchange - down 8% and then up 4% in one day! All pretty crazy! It's actually less stressful just to decide to do nothing and then not look!
Is daily life being affected too much in your part of the world? Are people fighting over rolls of toilet paper? More seriously though - how is the sailor going on his course? It would be a shame to hear that they've had to alter it to cope with the virus.
Three weeks to go to our new arrival - very exciting - I'll let you know in an email!
Keep as safe as possible - things have to get better. XXX Rob
Thank you for doing last week!
Cheers Rob
