This is a link to a video taken when we met the Tasmanian Devils.
She's pretty cute lying in the sun - it's a different story at feed time.
This was taken at Biceno in Tasmania - at the East Cast Natureworld Wildlife Sanctuary.
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - If you can, check the size of your video before you try to post it. You can often save it as a smaller size which means the quality of the video is reduced but you can then post it. I had to do that with this one. I then posted it to You Tube (using my Google Account) , opened it to get the URL and posted that to 365 using its URL.
These little guys were fascinating, and the work the Sanctuaries do is so important. The Devils are in real trouble with DFTD - Devil Facial Tumour Disease. It's a horrible facial cancer which is spread as they bite each other - and as you can see from this they do that all the time. The Sanctuaries are breeding small healthy colonies as a back up for the diminishing numbers in the wild. They have been able to release some back into safe areas already. Fingers crossed that the project will be successful.
Cheers Rob
