Thanks everyone for your comments. Strangely enough, a day after I uploaded this there was a competition on the telly - "Vote for your favourite Big Thing!" Oz seems to have an affection for Big Things - think lobsters, crocodiles, merino sheep, crabs, potatoes, pineapples, prawns. boots. guitars, bananas, oysters, mowers, mangoes, thermometers, peanuts, fish, Ayers Rock and Stanthorpe's very own apple. At the moment the big lobster is battling with the big sheep to be the winner.
And Diana - Stanthorpe is a big apple and strawberry region - but the grapes and wine bring all the tourists.

@shutterbug49@helstor365 HI Debbie and Helge - I had a look at the works of Rene Magritte - they are so much fun! The apples were great, very clever and witty. I really liked all his works - thanks so much for introducing me to him. :)
