@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jacky. We must be a bit mad! This will be our 4th trip around our country! We love the variety of sights and experiences - and there's always something new to see or do.
The first time was in a panel van with a mattress - young and stupid.
The second time was with 3 kids and a caravan - madhouse but fun.
The third time was accidental - we came to a crossroads on our way home from Darwin and suddenly decided to go right around again.
This time is our last hurrah - no caravan - poshing it up in accommodation! :)
@ankers70 Hi Suzanne - our trip started by heading South to meet our daughters at The Hunter. But then we're heading North again up as far a Mt Isa and then Across West... We're hoping there'll be no more cyclones! Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob :)
Sounds like the trip we planned for 2020 but then got locked into Victoria . . . forever! At the moment we are doing more local trips.
Next one is up the Murray at the end of April . Enjoy! @robz
@ankers70 A trip up the Murray should be super - still lots of water I would imagine and so many great towns along the way. Rutherglen is one of our favourites in that area ( not all to do with wine! :) ), but it'll be nice to see what you discover. Cheers Rob
@onewing Hi Babs - we've booked a long way in advance as we're not towing the van. It's going to take about four and a half months. It's our last big trip I fear... :)
@shutterbug49 Hi Debbie - yes, we're not happy with that one either - but there wasn't really anywhere to stop in between. It's in the area where you come off the Nullabor Plains and start to head up the middle of Australia.
Thanks for the mention of the darkroom theme - I'll find its tag and add it to this. Cheers Rob
@olivetreeann Hi Ann - 12 hours! That would knock us out! Although, all those wide open plains must be fabulous to see. Thanks for your good wishes.. Cheers Rob
@ludwigsdiana Thanks for your good wishes Diana. This is when I'm torn between keeping my little camera (which fits in my pocket so easily) or upgrading to something that would let me take photos even 1/2 as good as the images you share with us. Laziness has won out again - I think the little guy is going on another big trip..
Cheers Rob :)
@dkbarnett Hi Delwyn - so nice to hear from you again. Yes, we've tried to be super organized - especially with all the accommodation. Even so, we've ended up with 2 nights where we'll have to camp. Errol's not looking forward to them :)
Cheers Rob
@pusspup Hi Wylie - you're quite right. We have had fun on all of them, so hopefully this one will be the same. It's funny how there's always new things to see and do..
No van is going to make it quite different but a lot easier for Errol - he does all of the driving when we tow. Cheers Rob
