How to make 6 shipping containers into something fabulous...
3 up the top, three down the bottom, remove all the ends and replace with glass, insulate, install all the requirements for a cellar door, sit back, sip and enjoy the views....
It's awesome - I could live in one like this easily! I want Nathan ( our son) to build one on our farm at Stanthorpe. One whole container was a very, very poshy bathroom - with the same cut out end and the view!! @30pics4jackiesdiamond
I've watched several programs on container homes- they're really cool. One family bought a sliver of property in a city, stacked three of them on top of each other and ended up with a really trendy and amazing townhouse. You couldn't even guess that it started out as freight train containers. Looks like an amazing place to stay.
@dkbarnett LOL Delwyn - the guy behind the tasting bar was the wine maker - and also the cellar door builder. Apparently he built it from scratch - to a design that he and his mate came up with. It took him 3 years! And I think he must be a lot handier with tools and welders than he let on.... :)
@jgpittenger That sounds interesting Jane. Are they specifically produced to allow modular homes to be built?
We need that out here - our housing situation is dire! So many people who are homeless due to no fault of their own. :)
