A lucky catch....

On our way North and West. Standing admiring this huge silo mural when we heard a train approaching. It's not a very good photo but it does show the size of the murals compared to the 2 engines and approx 60 carriages of the train. Each of the carriages was also graffitied - made for a very colourful combo.
What a cool design!

Great artwork on the Silo’s. This makes the very ordinary structures look extraordinary.

Great catch of the train. The painted silos in country towns are a real treat

Wow the train really does give the shot perspective. I would love to see some of the silo art. Maybe next year.

Nice capture. I really love to see artists painting walls, tank, silos and other “canvases”.

How amazing is that, I find it great that the train came just at the right time to show the scale! They are absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful capture and timing. The silos are gigantic compared to the long train.

@casablanca Hi Casablanca - silo art has become a real "thing" over here - we're looking forward to seeing lots, and they usually are closely related to the area around them. This one was tied to a lily pond which is part of the local aboriginal lore. :)

@wakelys Hi Susan - and it also helps hide how ugly they really are! LOL

@wakelys Hi Susan - aren't they awesome? We're going to try to do some of them out near Horsham too.

@onewing Hi Babs. Apparently there's a lot in a trail that starts near Horsham - we're hoping to see some of them, but they are quite spread out...

@shutterbug49 Hi Debbie - thanks for your comment - these things are normally really ugly, so the paintings come as a pleasant surprise. We're hoping to see quite a few. :)

@rickster549 Hi Rick. Silo art is a bit of a "thing" over here - it sure helps improve the look of a silo! :)

@ludwigsdiana Hi Diana - they are marvellous to see - and the train just showed how big they are. I have no idea how the artists can keep track of what they are doing when they're way up there. We're hoping to see quite a few of them.. Cheers Rob

WOW, didn't realize how big they were until I saw the train. Great mural and great shot

That is a fabulous photograph - the train is so good to give perspective, I sure wouldn't have guessed what size those silos are.
