The top image was taken with the newly discovered "Micro-macro" setting. It shows a close up of the granite that makes up our big rocks. The bottom image is a macro image showing the granular mix - locally called "deco" - which is formed when the granite decomposes.
@bluemoon LOL Paula - I have a sneaky feeling that your camera may do a lot of things that my funny little thing won't. But it is fun to play with. It's hand-me-down from my daughter, so all a bit new to me. :)
Hi everyone. Thanks for your interest in the Micro-setting. It's pretty sneaky - the camera seems to open up a wider, lit up section around the lens. I don't know how it actually achieves the magnification but the result is a bit similar to what you would see under a low magnification under a microscope. The granite worked well as an example - three different types of crystals.
