Native bush #1

The Granite Belt region gets quite a wide range of temperatures. Many of the local plants are quite small with small flowers. Still cute though.
yes it does look cute Rob

So good to get these small flowers closeup - can see their beautiful details. These is lovely to see - at a distance you might not even notice these flowers with their pale green colour.

I don't get the impression of this being a small plant- but it's really eye-catching.

@dkbarnett Hi Delwyn - the tube part of the flowers are quite easily seen but the details are tricky. Unfortunately, my camera isn't good enough to show the little fluffy curls at the end of each tube. should have another go and just use the micro-macro setting on them... Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana - this one was the only one kind enough to grow near the dam! Cheers Rob

@pusspup Hi Wylie. I'm sorry to be useless but I'm on the GC at the moment and don't have my Granite Belt flower books with me. I should remember, but old age is a dreadful thing. :)The little curls at the ends of the tube are very distinctive and were important in identifying it. It's one of my favourites. :)

@briaan Hi Brian - thanks so much for your wonderful comment!! You made my day! Cheers Rob

Thank you to all of you for your nice, appreciative comments on this flower. It's one of my favourites because of the little curls at the end of the tube structure. They help identify the plant - but I can't remember its name at the moment - dreaded old age!! :) Cheers Rob

@casablanca Hi Casablanca - I should be able to tell you it's name but I don't have my plant books here at the moment. It's a strange little thing with very spikey leaves, extended stamens and those cute little rolled edges. One of my favourites. Cheers Rob
