@pusspup hi Wylie. This one is actually very different to the ones we normally see (other than the weird colour!). It was very, very compact and plump with only those few leaves. I think I need to find out more about them - we've seen at least 4 different types on the block. Cheers Rob

Thanks for your interest in this little plant. It's only tiny and does have some similarities to an anemone in how they function. But this one grows in damp conditions and catches small insects on its sticky leaves. It produces an enzyme to digest the bugs and absorbs the nutrients into the leaves. As Maggiemae said - a carnivorous plant! And, as Casablanca said - some of them do look a bit like a triffid!! They are fascinating. Cheers Rob
