Not the place where you'd expect to find a church..
Firstly - many thanks to all of you for your wonderful feed-back on yesterday's image!! And then - this church is afloat.... In the middle of the busy Marina. Apparently, it caters for couples wishing to have a different wedding - and it does move away from this crowded site and float around in the Broadwater for the ceremony......
Interesting concept., Seasickness could be an issue - some people cannot tolerate even the slightest wave motion. But still, it's pretty resourceful for folk who want to do things differently. Good capture!
It was great to read all of your responses. So many different thoughts on the whole concept! It did look a bit weird sitting the middle of the marina - I know they do take it out into the Broadwater for a ceremony. That would be quite nice, but I think all the guests etc would still have to board from the marina.. It's just such a Gold Coast sort of thing, catering mainly for overseas tourists who come here specifically to be married. Apparently, it's much cheaper to do that than to have a big wedding in their home country. And, some come for a second wedding just to get the photos... :) @fishers@sangwann@pcoulson@rickster549@ludwigsdiana@olivetreeann@frodob@shutterbug49@onewing@carole_sandford@busylady@phil_howcroft@kvphoto@wakelys@marlboromaam@k9photo@corinnec@cocokinetic
