Clothes aren't my thing - I wear any old thing... But, these creations were mind blowing with their shapes and structures. And there were so many of them, so beautifully displayed. :)
Did they have any pictures of actual people wearing them? I'm just curious because as beautiful as they are, I can't see someone being able to wear the garment and physically do things without damaging the delicate 3D printing. Beautiful collection.
Gorgeous. I love the top left garment. I’m very much like you when it comes to clothing - any old thing will do, the older -and scruffier- the better! I find older clothes so comfortable. But having said that, I love looking at exotic designer clothes such as these. They are beautiful.
@olivetreeann What a good question Ann. They actually had videos of 10 of her collections being shown on the catwalk. It was fascinating - the clothes just move so marvellously. But the models were all very thin, hair very drawn back or severe with that model's walk and no emotions shown on their faces - not at all like normal people. They did have photos of various famous people wearing them - but funnily enough they didn't look so spectacular with people with normal hair and emotions on their face!! Fascinating. :)
Aren't clothes funny things - we all wear them but in so many different styles and ways. They had a long video showing Iris Van Herpen creations at several of her Collections - these fabulous creations were worn by clothes horses who showed no emotion but made the dresses look amazing. Then, at the end of the exhibition, Iris appeared to huge applause - wearing what seemed to be very ordinary clothes. And, they had videos of the models in the dressing rooms after the show - they were so emotional and human!! Thanks for all of your remarks on and appreciation of this series - it was lovely to read all your comments. An art exhibition based on natural sciences and cutting edge technology - all disguised as fashion pieces! It was truly an extraordinary exhibition. If it comes to your area I can highly recommend it, but be sure to give yourself several hours to see it all - we ran out of time!! Thanks for all of your kind comments - I'm glad you enjoyed them. Good morning Rob, I appreciate all the time and effort you put into your comments and replies. I really enjoy your replies and the way in which you respond to each comment very personally and thoughtfully. Many thanks. @robz
@ankers70 Hi Suzanne. Thank you so much. It seems that Aussies are quite inclined to talk a lot and I sometimes wonder if other people find some longer comments etc a bit pushy or rude. I love the interactions that 365 lets you have with people from all over the world and I really appreciate your comment about this. Cheers Rob
