Light rays by robz

Light rays

This is for the b@w technique challenge. The light from a torch was passed through a comb - only the rays hitting the paper showed up. They highlighted the interference pattern produced by passing through the teeth of the comb. But all of the light rays then refracted through the lens and produced the oval shaped patterns on the other side of the lens.

Very cool- I think if you turned it on it's side so that the comb is at the bottom and the oval pattern is on top, it would look really interesting. mho!

@caterina No, nothing so grand. Just a retired science/maths teacher. I taught physics but mainly chemistry and biology. Cheers Rob

@casablanca Hi Casablaca - it's easy to play with. If you rotate the lens a lttle bit more you'll get flower like images - they are cute too.

@wws1968 Hi Willie - thanks for your nice comment. My camera is a small "Point and Shoot" and I'll never be a proper photographer so I just play around with odd ideas that occur to me. Cheers :)
