After seeing Etienne's @etienne two wonderful series showing successive images taken at sunrise and sunset I realize that this is a very lazy response to this scenario. More time and much more effort required - hopefully in the near future!
I first thought it was a sunset ! I have no experience of pictures of fires at this scale, but it looks like a great idea with quite a lot of potential to discover.
@etienne Hi Etienne - I think I might have accidently misled you with the title to this image. This isn't showing an actual bushfire. But we have had a lot of burning off fires where people have purposely started controlled fires in order to reduce the amount of dry material available for a bushfire. We are expecting a bad summer.
And because of the burning off there is a lot of smoke in the sky which causes fabulous colours from the sunsets. Great fro photos.
