Amber slug?? by robz

Amber slug??

Well it's resin (I think) but not a slug. I think it's weeping from a wattle because a possum has damaged the tree in order to make it weep sap which provides a food source. The sap then hardens into a resin blob - they often have an interesting shape and texture. :)
It is interesting to be sure- especially in a close-up like this.

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - thanks for your interest - it's always good to see these - it lets us know there's something alive out there at night. :)

@fr1da Hi Frida - there is indeed - and doesn't it give interesting shapes. I always wonder if it would eventually form into amber? :)
