Instead of showing yesterday’s picture in true colours as some of you asked me to, I have selected this shot of Xlendi which should answer your queries – the cliffs are at least 10 storeys above sea level. Re pinning, marlboromaam, I have no problem, in fact I would be honoured if you do so. John Brown, so it will be 4 of us then, that would be just perfect (wishful thinking I suppose).
Until some years ago there was a sandy beach there but most of the sand was gradually carried away by the sea and the government decided to reclaim what was left and construct a promenade. Whereas previously there were only boat sheds and single-storey boat houses there are today 2 small hotels and restaurants all along the short promenade with tables and chairs for outside dining or just for having a beer or coffee while enjoying the sunshine Malta can offer mostly throughout the year (except this winter which was a freak winter compared to others).
Many thanks for looking and for your comments on yesterday's picture.
Nice shot Think I would prefer it with just the boat sheds and boat houses, I know that places need tourism and modernising but soon there will be no where for peace and quite.
