Jeff and Nick have fitted well with the local gulls. Every day is a play day along the long stretch of beach.
Jeff: “ Hey, Ethel, move your arse and come and join the fun.
Ethel: “ Not with all my aching joints, I won’t join you, Jeff. Instead I’m off to steal some chips for us all.”
Danny: “No need for me, Ethel. Thanks just the same.”
Jeff, Nick: “ You are so kind, Ethel. Many thanks.”
Harold to Jeff and Nick: “Hey boys, I think you did wonders with Ethel. She doesn’t nag any more and is sweet to everyone around. Hope this will not stop with your departure.”
Jeff: “Watch out, Harold, you barely missed that pole. Nick, I’m after you. Come on Danny!”
Bert (hearing the 12.00 noon Gull News: “Hey guys, some interesting news on the Gull Radio. Suzie and a group of gulls from her area seem to be on their way here. Prepare yourselves for trouble.”
Jeff to Nick in an undertone and shaking all over: “It’s the devil, Nick. She must be coming for me. I will not have that; we must leave immediately.”
Nick: “F***,f***, f***, just my luck. And all this happens when I’m having the fun of my life. We must say goodbye to Ms Carr before we leave, Jeff. She’s been so good to us”
To be continued tomorrow. I suggest you don't miss it.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
@jenrobcarr Hi Jennifer. I agree these poles are amazing. I posted a couple that I took some time ago because they fascinating me as well. They are all along the Geelong walkway in Victoria. So funny - have a look http://365project.org/kcman5/bits-and-pieces/2013-04-15
