RAGUSA ALTA by sangwann

RAGUSA ALTA

One of several shots from this location while waiting for our coach to Ragusa Alta – or Upper Ragusa. Ragusa, Sicily, is made of two sectors, Ibla (or Lower) and Alta (Upper). The origins of Ragusa are at Ibla. Ragusa Alta came later but their architectural styles are common because the 1690 earthquake razed down most of the Ibla buildings.
Shots are from our one-day cultural excursion to Sicily on 18th May. Still sorting out the many shots are took during the day.
