'While the cat is away, the mice play'. This is what came to my mind when I saw hundreds, maybe thousands, of people in the church area of the promenade strolling around, eating from the many food kiosks, watching the band playing or doing whatever else came to mind. I took the scenes in this collage while I was walking to the place further up the road where we usually meet with friends. The procession with the titular statue of Our Lady of Carmel had already come out of the church and was being solemnly carried around the old streets of the parish accompanied by another band. So these people had a lot to amuse them while waiting for the return of the procession at which time there would be another fireworks display.
