As I walked along the waterfront I heart the honking of a ship’s horn and I said to myself ‘This cannot be a cruise liner. Cruise liners normally enter port at around 8.00am and leave at sunset. The time at the moment was around 9.30 am. Then it suddenly appeared, I grabbed my camera, barely had time to point at it before it disappeared again – it was coming in so fast.
Here it is.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Lovely contrast again between old and new. I have never actually been on a cruise (not very good on boats/ships!!) but one Christmas my Father paid for us all to spend the night on this beautiful ship in the harbour at Southampton in order to get a taster. The food and facilities were quite amazing and it was a wonderful experience but I'm still not sure I will every manage an actual cruise unless perfect calm weather is guaranteed!!!
