CONFUSION by sangwann

CONFUSION

From the Middle Sea Race. The boats had to manoeuvre themselves out of the harbour through the two arms of the breakwater. In this shot, the opening looks very narrow but this is due to the perspective. I have seen very large ships coming into harbour through that gap, including super tankers, the largest of cruse ships as well as the biggest of the US aircraft carriers.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Great shot Dione, love the helicopter above.

Wonderful shot of them all vying for position. Lovely capture. Something about white sails and blue water. Fav!

Great capture - I like how they all lean in contrast to the lighthouses.

Another great shot of the race! I sort of remember a shot of one of those cruise ships- but maybe I'm not remembering the right port.

wow, that is so awesome with the two pillars and lighthouses

They make such an impressive pattern with their sails. It's a beautiful scene. What a fun event to be able to witness!

How great to see them all vying for position and leaning to push the boat to the limit and make the most of the wind. I like the contrast between the old with the new too.
