While at the Citadel (Gozo) we visited the Gozo Cathedral. The cathedral was open for mass and prayers so we could go in and look around as there was no mass going on. Normally when no church function is going on the cathedral is either closed or open to visitors against payment of a donation. I took some photos in there which I will not burden you to watch. But I loved how I captured this particular statue in the subdued light inside the cathedral and thought it proper to share it with you all.
Note: the statue is enclosed in a niche with a large glass door and I love how I managed to avoid the reflections which very often make a picture like this very disappointing.

Wow what a beautiful statue. I didn't even notice it was behind glass til you mentioned that. I love the whole building as well as the statue. It's just lovely.
