MY PROMENADE

This is my heart, my lungs and my love – the Sliema promenade. I walk here in winter, I swim here and spend evenings with friends here in summer. I was born in Sliema but now live in San Gwann, a few km away in a quieter area.
World Cup: It’s over. A great final with a clash between two old schools of football – The German school basing their play on the collective and the Argentinian relying on the individual skills and touches of their players – and what great skills they have!. In the end the collective won in extra time. All in all, the Germans merited to win the World Cup – they played well throughout the tournament and never faltered.
The French will he happy today. They will see a co-national, Gallopin, in the Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France on their National Day.

@claireuk Thank you vour comments. Yes, the tv did show those shots, but I think it was the sun not the moon. Remember Brazil is some 6 hours behind us. Whatever it was, it was amazing to see.

Lovely shot! It sounds like a beautiful walkway which is always agreed with in your pictures. I thought of you as I watched the final thinking you'd be analyzing the game with a strong opinion! I agree that the Germans proved they were worthy of the title and in the end the prediction I made to Jeff became a reality. I said the game would be tied at the end of regular play and that the Germans would win in overtime, although I did not give the specific numbers. What a game though!
