As if we hadn’t had enough after the long hours touring Siena we went to Colle di Val d’Elsa – meaning the hill of Elsa valley (Elsa is the river running below the hill) – but not before we had a mouthwatering plate of Italian pasta.
Colle di Val d’Elsa is a small medieval village on a steep hill. The streets and buildings looked deserted – at least at the time we were there.
The three shots show the ambience of the place. In the left picture, Christine (my wife) walks up the main street in front of us.
