THE SUN SHOW UP BUT ONLY WHEN I CAME BACK HOME

Arriving home all frustrated after a 10 minute drive from Spinola I saw the buildings with some beautiful lighting on them. So straight to my house roof I went to investigate and I was rewarded with this gorgeous view in between the building leading to the sea beyond. The sun was still covered by clouds but it was sending down a rainbow of rays to light the sea. This view is slightly to the west from where I was positioned when I went to Spinola to take my sunrise shots. Pity there was this tower crane to spoil the view.
Yesterday, for the umpteenth time Malta lost a soccer match played at home to Norway by 3 goals. The match was a qualifier for the European Nations Cup. Our team rarely manages to even get a draw – our players are amateurs or semi-professionals and they cannot compete with the highly paid footballers on other European countries. Next Monday I am booked to watch them play against Italy. It will be a David against Goliath. It’s been many years since I went to watch Malta play.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.

A rainbow of rays, that's beautifully said. Lovely image! And believe in the unimaginable, maybe one day your team will qualify 😊 The Welsh team hasn't qualified since the fifties, I think.
