Another shot from my Għargħur visit last Thursday. Best viewed large, if you have time. Thank you.
As I couldn’t stop to take shots of this village because of the rain I continued aimlessly on my way still uncertain which way to go. So I finally decided and proceeded to Madliena.
This is a shot of Wied id-Dic, or Dis Valley (I don’t know where the name comes from). Dis is a beautiful valley which leads down to Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. Once I took my young (at the time) son, Jean-Pierre and a friend of his along this valley and finished climbing down the rocky side at the far end of the valley.
At last we had a fine, sunny, day yesterday and I didn’t waste it. I went to Chadwick Lakes and I took many shots. Will show some after I manage to upload and check them on the computer.
Joke: A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park. As he arrived home, the cat was walking up the driveway.
The next day he drove the cat 40 blocks away. But, again, the cat was home before him.
He kept taking the cat further and further, but the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the cat there.
Hours later the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?"
"Yes", the wife answers, "why do you ask?"
"I'm lost," says the man, "and I need the cat to give me directions home."
Thank you so much for looking and for all the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
