Shot taken on 28th June – third day of our vacation.
After the castle we drove to the Mercedes-Benz Museum – and what a museum that is! I could have stayed there the whole day. This is just one of the oldies on show and it goes back to the late 19th century. Here Christine looks at the short description which was present near each vehicle.
Joke: Joe, now a senior citizen, was driving his old Mercedes down the freeway at an average of 15m.p.h when his mobile phoned. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on 280. Please be careful!"
"Hell," said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's hundreds of them!"
Many thanks for looking and for all the lovely comments, fav's and wishes on yesterday's photo.
Great shot. Can imagine the difficulty you had dragging yourself away from this display. Your tour is certainly a huge contrast to our tour of New Guinea taken at the same time.
Oh, you are right in our area!!!!!! We are in Ludwigsburg, just north of Stuttgart. Merzedes Museum is our go-to place on a rainy day, so I recognized it right away from your photo. Any trips to Ludwigsburg planned in the next days?????

Well captured, Dione, looks like a fascinating vehicle and a great place to visit.
