Back to my Black Forest vacation – day 8 - 3th July, 2015
No, it’s ‘horses and carriage’. We had a long trip to Baden Baden. Saw this double-horse carriage as we walked along a wide road. Ian had told me there isn’t much interesting to see in Baden Baden but I insisted at going.
Joke: Max (my grandson of 4) came home from school the other day and said: “Nannu (meaning grandpa), what do you call a pony's cough?”
After a lot of thinking I said: “Sorry, Max, I do not know.”
Then Max said: “Shall I tell you then.”
“Yes, please”, said I.
Then he wrote on a piece of paper: “A pony’s cough is called A Little Hoarse” and he laughed and laughed.
Thank you so much for looking and for your continues support on my project.
A great shot of the horses and beautiful carriage If you did cut off the traffic sign and car pic. could be made in that time.
Sadly, the social intentions of the first owners (builders) of the hofjes has gone, long ago. Now they are a part of the house market .
Baden Baden was only about half an hour's drive from where we used to live and we always took our guests there via a very scenic route. I don't remember seeing horses and carriages back then. What a beautiful pair of horses.
